Welcome to the Vintage Sheet Link Up Party. We have a fun twist this week and a great, handmade prize.
Her blog has lots of sewing and home projects. She also has several tutorials on her blog. Some of her project include:
Amy started collecting vintage sheets when her husband's greatgrandmother passed away in 2009. She found many sheets in her stash, and became addicted. Her favorite source for new sheets is her grandmother's closets as well as estate sales and thrift stores. Her friends also give them her.
Amy says, "I love being part of the vintage sheet community- it's so fun to join with others around the world who share a love for such a unique item. It's a great collection of projects and ideas. I love seeing such a wide variety of sheets, too."
Amy sells many of her handmade creations in her Etsy store, Gabriel's Good Tidings like:
and baby items like:
Amy is generously offering an item from Gabriel's Good Tidings as our prize this week.
The Prize
An adorable, handmade, and reversible tote bag.
A fully reversible tote is perfect for school, shopping, traveling, and everyday use! This tote is made from vintage bed sheets and is accented with bias tape around the handles. It measures approximately 17" wide by 20" tall and has a flat bottom. Two layers of interfacing are concealed in this tote- making it sturdy but not stiff.
I can think of a gazillion things I would do with this cute tote. My only challenge would be deciding between the flower side or the pretty plaid.
You can win the Reversible Tote from Gabriel's Good Tidings.

This week we have a twist. Link up photos of your three favorite vintage sheets. Let's create a rainbow of all the gorgeous patterns that are out there. We'll do another project link up in the future but this week, let's just focus on the fabric. The source can be from your blog, Etsy, Flikr, or wherever you upload your pictures. (1 entry for each link up)
Good Luck! You have until this Sunday night at 11:30 (my time) to enter.
And, thank you so much Amy for sponsoring our Link Up Party this week. :)
